Borepatch had to put his dog, Wolfgang down. I can't imagine the pain. I work at home. My big dude follows me around all day. Both of them roust me when it's time to walk, time to quit for the day. Time to take a break and play. Today he posted a longer piece, RTWT. … Continue reading All of Man’s virtues, with none of his vices..

Friday Dog Stuff
I was farting around with my library and found this gem: https://vimeo.com/810721280 Old video of Jasper, probably at the end of the day wanting me to go out and play. You can see Jethro in the doorway. Look at that happy, hopeful face and the tail wagging. Such a cute, cool dude. It broke my … Continue reading Friday Dog Stuff
Friday Dog Stuff
What's better than a $5 WalMart basketball? To the dogs? Nothing. https://vimeo.com/808116912 Homey came damn close to chomping on my thumb. This is a pretty typical night around here. I'm feet up watching my stories and one or both dogs will come in and want to play. Eventually they peter out and fall off to … Continue reading Friday Dog Stuff
Spring is Springing, and a Lazy Dawg
It’s the middle of February, and is still pretty damn cold. But I got my seeds into pots. This time I didn’t order any actual plants, because the plants I ordered from Burpee last year arrived kind of peeked and weren’t really any better than the ones I planted myself. Yesterday I came came into … Continue reading Spring is Springing, and a Lazy Dawg
We Don’t Deserve them
Every morning after our walk, the pups play for a solid 15-20 minutes. As long as I'm outside doing morning chores, they are following me around. https://vimeo.com/794689907
End of a Long Week
Had a lot of screen time this week, what with the ice and whatnot. Tax season is ramping up and just as Herself would be in the office late, she's here working. Which the dogs loved. They'll lay around all day and get super animated when she comes home. This week, Jethro has been posted … Continue reading End of a Long Week
Wintry Mix
We had ice today, which shut down a lot of the numbnuttery. Speaking of numbnuts, Jethro was overjoyed to discover ice was falling from the sky. https://vimeo.com/794682513 I cut out the parts where he was doing his bidness. This is a family site, after all. That white stuff is ice. It was thundering as it … Continue reading Wintry Mix
Friday Dog
Every morning after walking, the two dogs love to play. Aria will get into a mode where she fetches nonstop for 15 minutes or so. https://vimeo.com/786726174 I was at it for a good ten minutes before thinking to grab my phone to video. Normally she'll drop whatever she's chasing at my feet. When she's tuckering … Continue reading Friday Dog
Dog Stuff
The world's heading to hell in a handbasket. Doesn't seem to bother the dogs one bit. I tried out a new primary doc today. Seems smart and dedicated. The last guy I had blew a cancer diagnosis ("MMMh..don't know. It's not cancer, it's too soft). What he was poking at was a stage 2 tumor … Continue reading Dog Stuff
Well, that was exciting.
I do my best thinking while walking the dogs in the morning. This morning, I was thinking about how when I leave to walk the dogs, the people that are speeding down my street are the old timers, heading God-knows-where. They are ahead of the soccer moms as the most hazardous thing to pedestrians in … Continue reading Well, that was exciting.
