Caught a story on Zero Hedge about third worlders doing third world things:
“They throw all their garbage out of their windows. We are living in literal shit. We never asked for this.”
No one should have to live like this.
No one should have to live like this is the line of the century that applies to way more than trash dumping.
Turns out, they simply dump garbage anywhere, like they do in the old country. The examples in the article are shocking. I don’t know if I saw a video of some dudes playing a game (would be a great drinking game). They bet that anywhere in India they’d click on street view and find trash all around. First hit, the guy clicks on a place in the northwest – all green on the map. Zoom in, he lands next to a pile of trash.
It never occurs to these people to put their garbage where it belongs.
In civilised societies, the bin truck comes once a week. Council tips and recycling centres operate. Yet the same people continue throwing rubbish into the streets and rivers.
These examples are all from England. We aren’t quite that bad here, yet. Victor Hanson has lamented for years how the ‘undocumented visitors” crap up his land. In his case, they either don’t know any better, or are illegal and can’t get into a dump. You see some of that around here, to a way lesser extent.
In the Girl’s old neighborhood, you wouldn’t see dumping, per se. You’d see litter all around. It’s a relatively new development, with an HOA and everything. But it looks like hell with the litter. I remember walking around thinking to myself that other than the newer houses, it looked a lot like the ghettos in south Dallas. There, it’s not foreigners, but the local indigenous population that should know better. Funny that in my way older and poorer neighborhood, you don’t see that nearly as much. I might see a piece here or there, usually on trash days where the odd wrapper or bottle didn’t make it into the truck.
It’s a cultural thing we have to break. We all admired the Japanese fans cleaning up after themselves at the world cup. It’s what we should expect here of the locals.
It’s a tough thing to fix. The first solution is simple. Start enforcing the laws. Here, fine the shit out of them. If it turns out they’re illegal, ship them home, no questions asked. In Hanson’s case, there were bills and whatnot with these people’s addresses on them. Do the broken windows thing. Didn’t catch them? Get a task force to root it out. There are cameras everywhere. If it’s a remote location, put up a game camera.
The second one is harder: Don’t surrender your country. The problem in England and other places is that they have.
No one should have to live like this.
