Hahahahahaha….

(Wipes tear…)

It’s hot in France. Deadly hot!

It was 29.8C!. That’s 85.6 here in the US.

As I type this, it’s 93 here in DFW. I think it was 85 when I went out running. It was partly cloudy, 85, no humidity. I did a full 5K and feel great for it. 85 is a blessing here in the summer that I’ll take it any time.

And I don’t want to hear about they don’t have AC. I grew up in the DC area – 90s to 100s and crushing humidity. I did that in a house with only a window unit in the kitchen (and one in my parents room). We had to sleep with a fan on.

Interestingly, with all the World Cup fun in Dallas, I haven’t heard one visitor here complaining of the heat. Most of the commentary is about how awesome the venues are, how great the food is, what a brilliant rental car they got, and how great the US is in general. One woman had the best line – You have everything here; every climate, every kind of environment – mountains, beaches, plains, cities. We really do. And a lot of that can be found in Texas alone.

Many comment on how nice we are. The best was Europeans talking with gun owners. They were far different than the impression they were given. It’s a serious business and us legal owners treat it as such.

I wonder if they’ll get back and tell the locals to shuddup, they had nearly a 100 degree day here and lived.

* Florida also.
