Looks like it’s working

Check out Winston.

Since the last vet visit, I’ve been feeding both of them purina pro-plan weight control food. The first vet (in the practice) said she’d like to see him on 300 kcal a day. I tried that, and they both hated the food, which also gave them the runs.

So this time, I stuck with a brand that suits them, and cut back the extras, like cheese, or any of my food other than a small bite of bacon or sausage, and some egg. That’s why they are staring at me. They want the morning taste.

I also found that any seasonings on the meat, or if it’s fatty, they’ll get loose bowels. So, no more of that.

Another benefit is that it’s slimmed Aria down as well. The old girl is getting her girly curves back.

Best part is that, unlike the other brands, it’s the same price as I was paying for the same weight – 35 lbs. Others in that price range were 10 lbs lighter, leaving me with a higher per meal cost.

It’ll be interesting to see how the boy shapes up in the next few months. His next vet visit is in October. Then we’ll really see, I guess. The only reason he was at the vet with Aria in April is to get the stupid flu shot that the daycare place wanted. He did step on the scale, and was 98 lbs. That’s chonky.
