Damn, that was easy.

Went in to the body shop to have a small hernia fixed..

When I went in for a consult, the surgeon said it’s routine. Boring even. He likes boring. I took that as a good thing.

They moved my appointment up from 3:30 pm to 10:00 am. Told me it would be 3:00 or so they cut me loose.

I was out the door a little after 12 causing a scramble with my kids to come and fetch the old man. Damn near painless, I’m typing this still half buzzed by the anesthesia. It doesn’t hurt any different than if I strained myself and made it pop out before.

Moving my care to Baylor was the best move ever. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been pleasant and competent.

So rare today.

I wasn’t halfway paying attention when I dressed. Hours later, I pulled up my shirt to look at the stiches. Holy shit, they shaved my belly from chest to pubes, and side to side. What the hell!

Jesus I look like a freak show.

All for a tiny scar. Gonna suck when that grows back.
