Do you think there’s a soul under 40 that could even dream of those lyrics? or even the situation that caused the song to be crafted in the first place?
BB King’s voice is epic. I can’t think of another singer with that tenor and power. And the dude’s what? Over 80 in this video? Wow.
Another cool thing for me is to listen to the difference in tone between the Stratocasters the group is playing and BB King’s Gibson ES-335. Those guitars have a really angelic tone. His is a bit different, in that it’s custom made, and it has no “f’ holes in the hollow body.
Still, for a modest several thousand bucks, one can be yours.
