St. Ephrem the Syrian

Lord and Master of my life,

Take from me the spirit of laziness, discouragement, lust of power, and idle talk.

Instead grant to me, your servant, the spirit of purity, humility, patience, and love.

My Lord and King, grant me the grace to be aware of my own sins and refrain from judging others; for you are blessed forever. Amen.

— Lenten Prayer of St. Ephrem the Syrian (306-373 A.D.)

This is a prayer I try to say every day. I know it’s a Lenten prayer, but it’s basically something that you should base your life on. Which is avoiding a number of the seven deadly sins.

If you want to learn about St. Efraim you can find them here:

When I find these relics, I tend to like to research the saint behind them and learn about their life.

By the way reading this, doesn’t mean that you need to knuckle under to me the morons that are acting out in today’s time. It’s a self check.

I’m going to try to post decent prayer, or a a bit about a saint that’s caught my eye. At least once a week.

By the way, I have a couple toys that I’m going to post about that are, sorta contrary to this post. What is a very cool leather sap that I bought, and a very cool Baton I bought as well.

Not that I am being unchristian here. I just feel I need to be prepared to become the church militant. I will absolutely not stand for someone desecrating my parish.I’ll review those soon.
