New Shoes

My dog walking shoes when it’s warm are my last pair of Saucony runners. Their light, comfy, and good on the feet. But wearing them ends, like it did the other day, when it gets cool out leaving dew on the grass ever morning. I don’t like walking with wet feets, and the water soaking beats these shoes to hell.

So I’ve been walking, like a dork, in my timberlands and shorts. Problem is, the tread’s getting thin on the brown pair:

They really aren’t made for asphalt. I think this pair is three years old or so. Not much older. The black pair I have is newer and the soles are better. I’ve been looking to replace these with low tops, so I can wear them with shorts better. I couldn’t find timberlands that I liked. The best they had was mid-rise. I love the way Timberlands fit, but they wear out fast.

I ended up with a pair of Columbia waterproof Crestwoods:

Super comfy. Just what I was looking for. We’ll see how they perform on dog duty.
