I’ve been testing barefoot runners on Fridays, when I don’t usually work out. It’s a short run, about 1.5-2 Miles. Enough to warm up and enjoy, but not enough where it’s a beating out in the heat.
Thursdays, after I lift, I’d have a sense of peace and accomplishment. I’d get a little euphoric that Friday was almost here, where I’d have no workout, and maybe a cheeseburger at lunch.
Now, I look forward to the short run.
So far, the only thing I notice with the barefoot shoes is a bit of a leg workout and better posture. I may be kidding myself, but I still feel it. I’ll take it.
When it cools off, maybe I combine a run and bike – ride to the park, run a few miles on the wooded trail, then bike back.
Is that nuts, or what?
