It’s a Scam

Lot of news lately in the Karmelo Anthony case.

The grand jury charged him with first degree murder. Then, he files for a public defender as he is indigent.

It’s all so tiresome.

Funniest part about this video, and the others I’ve seen, is no one ‘of color’ appears to be able to pronounce the word ‘Indigent’ (In Duh Jent). They all say ‘he indignant’.

I agree with Tatum here. His family knew he did it. His lawyers knew he did it. There’s apparently video now that you can go view in person. A lot of newspeople did, and it shows no fight, no struggle. Just a group scattering when he stabbed Austin Metcalf.

Tatum had one good point, and missed another. First, I think he’s right. I think they played the race card, figuring on a big payday and all the hustlers involved no doubt fronted them money as they saw the GoFundMe climb. Now, facts are coming out – They’ve been living large on money donated to fund his defense. Now, it’s gone? That isn’t sitting well with the indigenous population and other suckers.

So much so that a video from a former convict hit my feed saying no gangs of any color are thrilled with this.

The thing he missed is that Uncle Sugar is going to want his taste of these funds. What’s a windfall tax? 50%? 30% at least. That there is ~150 large or so by my back-of-the-napkin math.

Right on queue, the family and hustlers are on camera, teary eyed, crying poverty. Hard to prove here, when there’s a picture on one of the videos of the boy sitting on what appears to be a Lexus IS250, with happy birthday ribbons on it. From what I see this is a middle class kid from Frisco. This is why his bail was lessened.

I got into a terse discussion with a friend over this. “You have to understand his background” – No I don’t. He appears to be like many others I met when I lived up there – middle class, going to good schools, apparently (according to his mom) church going. None of that gives him license to shank another high school kid over a beef of some sort.

There’s no beef two high school boys can get in that merits that. None.

He also went on a riff of how they could’ve hidden and sheltered the money. Have the kid declared independent, form trusts, whatnot. Yeah. No. Uncle Sammy and the judge will want an accounting. If they did that, the money would be in play and they’d have to recover it, or borrow off it. Doesn’t matter where it is, they will follow it. It’s an asset that’s in play.

Everything is in play once the arrest is made. That’s why the Miranda law exists. And it doesn’t seem his family is all that bright, are being taken advantage of, or are in on a scam. Apparently, this youtuber saw a TikTok of the Dad saying Karmelo skipped class and went there to settle a score:

All of that’s in play.

BTW – look at that shot on the video of him on the hood of that car. It’s sitting in the driveway of what appears to be a standard issue Frisco middle class neighborhood house. This is a kid with far more privledge than they are letting on.

Like Tatum, I said the same thing when this all went down. This is Collin County. If there’s any purple in that City, it’s very faint. They have hard, fair judges. The one he’s getting is tough. He should have pled. He should be pleading. The prosecution, from that I understand, has a solid case. A case that his defense now knows. I’m sure they have solid witnesses. I’m sure they have video. The defense will have to explain why he was there in the first place, why he went with a knife. Keep in mind, this is Frisco, in Collin County. There is no hood, not for 20 miles at least. Frisco, Plano, Allen, and McKinney are all very, very safe cities.

All this clown show has done is ensure he’ll go to prison, and go there with solid punk bone fides.
