Another month’s gone by.
After the last break, it took a couple painful seeks to get back where I was. I simply lowered the weight and concentrated on form. It paid off. For an old pharte, I’m packing on muscle, especially in my thighs, calves, and shoulders.
When I first started working out down here, I started doing push-ups with my fists on the ground. I could do maybe 3-4 before my repaired shoulder started screaming.

I’m up to three sets of 10 now.
I miss the gym that I could use when I lived in Plano. True, the puppies frustrated me, but they had a few things I really liked, that the pups mostly stayed away from, such as a weighted pullup/dip rack. You’d set the amount of weight that would subtract from your body weight, allowing you to ease into doing pullups and dips.
Haven’t found one here. Besides, I prefer to get back from biking and lift while I’m already hot and sweaty. It helps that all my muscles are warmed up. So I got the next best thing:

I figure that I’ll build up just like I did with push-ups.
It’s going to be a painful July, for sure. But there’ll be a payoff.
