Getting Fit

For the longest time, I’d go through periods where at the end of the day, I’d go wobbly when I stood up. When I was in for a follow up for some reason, I asked the physician assistant about this. She said I was probably dehydrated.

I told that to my son, and he told me about coconut water.

So I have been buying that. It kind of bugged my stomach, but it mostly worked. At least until it started getting really hot around here. One weekend, I got hammered hard. No clue whether it was dehydration or sunstroke. Took all weekend to get right.

So I had to rethink my hydration plan after working out. Behold:

I simply went on Amazon and searched with the highest rating.

I haven’t tried the tabs yet. But I started this week with the drink mix.

Wow! This stuff works!

I really felt it after running. I drank two water bottles with a packet each mixed in. I felt like a million bucks all day, that is until my old man soreness caught up that night. No weird I’m-gonna-fall-out feeling when standing.

It does have stevia leaf and sucralose, for what it’s worth. But it’s 10 calories a pack instead of 70, for a small bottle of coconut water.

Good thing that I’m figuring this out before it gets really hot.
