Don’t Play in the Streets

Apparently, there’s a widespread protest this week – No Kings.

Dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Apparently, Trump is acting like a king by enforcing the laws, specifically immigration laws. Something that hasn’t been done in four years.

This is on the heals of the idiots protesting, waving a Mexican flag, in LA. As an aside, I didn’t see the video, but I heard some commentary. Numbnuts start walking towards the police line, and from behind the cops comes soldiers with M4s. Apparently the retreat was something to behold.

I can imagine.

These things rarely work. I grew up in the DC area and actually worked across Lafayette square from the White House. Any given day, there’d be someone grinding an ax. I rarely paid attention to them. But this is what introduced me to one of the undying truths about protests; You’re being lied to about it from the press.

One day, a coworker and I walked out of the front of the building. Across the park, there was a collection of flags being waved. Maybe a dozen. I took it in, and said “eh…someone grinding an ax. We’re do you want to go for lunch”. Nothing to it. On the way back from lunch they were nowhere in sight. That night on the news there was vidya of a ‘massive’ protest for Tibet.

Massive wasn’t the word I’d use.

The flip side of that is would happen every January – still does. That’s the March for Life. I’d come out of the subway stop at Farrugut West, a few blocks from the White House, Many blocks north of the mall, where the protest was. It was ass-and-elbows crowded. Every year there would be 250K+ people marching. Here’s what it looks like:

Yet, you’d see a small story, maybe an image or video of a speaker on the other end of the mall – near the Washington Monument, instead of the Capitol end where the actual action was.

None of this ever had an impact.

The only time protests were noticed is when they made it tough for the normies. Like when they’d block a major bridge in/out of the city. It’s a miracle they weren’t killed back then.

What we have this weekend will be all sorts of professional malcontents making a nuisance of themselves. I’m betting little happens. Even in Dallas last week they tried some protesting for illegals, stepped into the street, and were dispersed with teargas. Most states won’t tolerate this whatsoever. Hell, Florida you have tacit permission to flat out run them over.

Here’s the deal. No one cares, even the Mexicans I know. What they will care about is when they are inconvenienced and threatened by holier-than-thou good-thinking woke dipshits. Speaking of which, dude here says what I’ve been told IRL:

Times have changed. A majority of people voted for this and are happy it’s happening. Remember how they gathered up the J6 folks? that tech still exists. It cracked me up to read where they bagged a few hundred illegals acting out for the protests in LA and are deporting them. Awesome self-own there. Do you think dudes like the one above are going to tolerate being hemmed up whilst taking the old lady for dinner Saturday?

It takes normies awhile to get it. But when they do it won’t be good. All these protests will do, at least, will get even more people to actively hate these malcontents.

The Wrath of the Awakened Normie

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late
With long arrears to make good,
When the Normie began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy-willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Normie began to hate.

Their voices were even and low,
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show,
When the Normie began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd,
It was not taught by the State.
No man spoke it aloud,
When the Normie began to hate.

It was not suddenly bred,
It will not swiftly abate,
Through the chill years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Normie began to hate.

H/T, a nod to Rudyard Kipling

Best to not be around these fools and their tantrums.

Closest one to me is a small town that will 100% not be thrilled to have a gaggle of freak-shows with signs making a pest of themselves. Far as the pests? I’m guessing in Texas and other red states they are going to get what they deserve. Best case – ignored. Worst case – jail time. I would not be surprised whatsoever to see them made into an example for the others.

I wonder when the over/under will be on the first “Free Our Political Prisoners” protest will happen for the fools taken away this weekend.

(FWIW – I first read the term “Don’t play in the streets” about protests on Aesop’s site)

  1. Herself had never seen the movie “Falling Down”. We watched it last night. There is a LOT to unpack there as far as an “awakening” for sure.

And yet at the end… “I’M the bad guy? How did THAT happen???” rings so hard and true with me as a cold hard reality. Because regardless of how righteous and accurate the facts you have on your side may be, it’s always the first person that loses their shit during an argument? LOSES.

Let’s hope the “Cold calculus of reason” prevails.

Stay safe. Here in FlawDUH I’m staying close to home. The giblet-heads will be dealing not only with their own histrionics on the street, but over the duration, what I refer to as “Baked Brain Syndrome” will be kicking in as well.
