…I’m not a picky man.
Big news this week as morbidly obese famous rapper Dank Demoss was refused a ride with Lyft after a heated argument with a Lyft driver about whether she could fit into his vehicle.
I’m guessing, unlikely…

I have the Lyft app. I prefer Uber. So with what little I saw, it appeared that she ordered what would be Uber Black, in that world. I’ll do that if the Black ride is within a few shekels of the normal ride, which often it is. When I order that, dude shows up in a Chebbie Denali or an Escalade. She’d have fit in one of those, I’m sure.
That said, to my untrained eye, Homes appeared to be driving a C-Class Mercedes. No way she fits in the back. Just for fun, I looked up the cargo weight of a C-Class. It’s a shade over a half a ton, 1000 lbs. Double her weight. Impressive. But I’m certain it’s designed to have that distributed, rather than all in the back seat. And, the tires can handle that, but at the max inflation – 51 psi. I’m betting he had it at 30.
Having put that kind of weight in the back of my cars from time to time, I’m pretty sure the rear would be bottomed out, and the tires nearly flattened. And I can bet the bank that the seatbelts wouldn’t work.
He told her she needed to order a Lyft Xl. Who knew such a thing existed?
She should have, if only to be more comfortable and safe.
“I just want them to know that it hurt my feelings.” said she. Sure. That’s why the slip-and-fall lawyers are flanking her. Yeah. No. Make no mistake, it’s about a payday. It’s always about a payday.
This isn’t like skipping on her because her race, religion, or anything else like the lawyers are implying. It’s flat out a physics thing. Look, I was 275 at my heaviest. Airline seats were a hassle. Small cars were a hassle. Clothing, parking, everything. Since I’ve lost all that, life is easier. Would Lyft, or she herself, compensate the driver for damage to his car? Like the seats? The tires?
This world simply isn’t built to accommodate humans of that size. It just isn’t. And most cars are not either, certainly not small/mid sedans.
Lawsuits won’t fix that.

Yeah… Sorry but “Offended” affords nobody any legal rights. Any such “Apps” should flag her account and send “Cattle Cars” only.
