Election Wrap

On some level, the system works.

I wasn’t real invested in this election. One way or the other we’re in for nuttiness. But when I’ve talked with people about it, my view has been that Harris needed to be drubbed for the simple reason that no one voted for her.

This was a coup. They figured Biden would lose so they put her in there, rather than doing it correctly, and settling it at the convention. This is the second time that if they had a candidate that wasn’t completely unlikeable or corrupt, they probably would’ve won.

But the democrats can’t do that. Their bench of non-commie normal people is thin. What they needed to do, and will need to do next time is find someone that can hang for a three hour interview with Rogan. That set the bar.

Their big thing – her big thing – was abortion, abortion, abortion. Ok. That works with your nutjob base, but doesn’t resonate with anyone else. Especially this time around.

Yeah, Yeah…women’s health. Well, I’m not woman, and what I want to know is what you plan on doing about the fact that last week I dropped nearly a Benjamin on groceries, and walked out with a measly three bags. What are you going to do about the war drums banging to send our guys into fights that we have no dog in.

I think they may have figured out she’s a loser, and simply will go other routes. You could tell this by the trainwreck ‘friendly’ interviews. Also the lack of cheating. It may have been in their moneyball calculations that they figured it wasn’t worth the dough to try and overcome the vote. Trump and the RNC were ready for it.

What was even more delicious is that punk Colin Allred got curb-stomped by Ted Cruz. For months they were saying it was neck and neck. Nope. Not even close. He was another one that all over abortion, a flat out dead issue in Texas in all but the bluest neighborhoods. I found his commercials offensive and fake.

To no ones surprise, Harris bailed on speaking to the troops when it was apparent she was toast, just like Hillary. As I write this she’s giving a concession speech. She says ‘we must accept the results of this election.’ and emphasized the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans.

Wow. We’ll see how that goes.
