The election is coming up. So I get clipboard people at my door every week. Drives the dogs batshit crazy. Now, I don’t open the door to clipboarders. But I’m sorely tempted to open it and let Aria take care of business. I’m not sure how Winston would react to that, but he is a follower. So Aria would school him on what needs to be done.
Namely, scare the shit out of these people and make them run off the property.
I really don’t care who they are stumping for. Things are so stupid crazy this election season, I want nothing to do with any of it.
These people are nuts. Violence is OK?
They want to place you in a camp, attack you, have you fired, or even kill you for daring to oppose them. They are keeping a list. Boy, do they go nuts when the other side keeps lists of their own. I have driven every street within a 1 mile radius of my house. I know who every Harris/Walz yard sign belongs to. You should do the same.
This gave me pause.
Not because I think it’s a bad idea. It’s actually a good one.
But pause because I don’t recall seeing any of these in my neighborhood.
Sure, there are the ones on city properties at this or that intersection. But I haven’t seen any up here. This wasn’t the case in my last neighborhood. There were a couple nuts that had 5’x5′ signs for Biden. If I went there today, I’m sure I’d still see the odd Beto sign. There was a pattern to them as well – the “No matter who you are or where you came from you are our neighbor” or the “We believe…”, and even the odd BLM sign are at the houses that consistently put up election signs. Couldn’t help but think that if SHTF, they might be the first place someone tests their shiny black market RPG.
But there aren’t any signs here. I checked. Nowhere I’ve walked, no neighborhood I’ve ridden the bike through has these signs. May be too early, but I doubt it. I’ve seen one sign. A faded and woeful looking thing from what appears to have been a local election some time ago.
Who knows.
I see it as a good sign. But then again, my neighborhood is Asian, Indian, and hu-white millenial mostly, with a mix of geezers like me. Most, I’m guessing, are lower income than my last neighborhood. I can tell that by the way that it is (a dump). None of those groups are big on signs.
I’ll keep an eye peeled and report back should I see one in the wild.
Interesting indeed. Divemedic is not too far from myself and I dig the idea. I’ve not seen many signs… there was one ranch down the way that had HUGE FJB BANNERS the entire 1/8 mile length of his property. It was amazing to see for sure.
I’ll have to check to see if they are still there this evening.
And will keep my eyes peeled… but it is SWFL after all. I would have to cross “The Alley” and find my way to Broward County to really get an eyeball on any.
