Lot of commentary this week over the Trump assassination attempt. BCE probably has the best and most entertaining.

and it’s not like the secret service is all that it once was. currently leadership there came from pepsi. she was never a LEO or military. her primary focus seems to be DEI and making sure the SS is 30% women by 2030. there have been lapses and attrition galore and it’s not like people were not jumping the white house wall and making it to the front door unchallenged already. – El Gato Malo
They basically muffed security, not even providing a fraction of what would be there for a concert. Add to that we’ve seen post after post for months about the left wanting to cancel Trumps protection. Looks like they were shortchanging it, for sure.
I keep coming back to the thought that they either are really stupid, or they are doing this on purpose, especially if I see a Daniel Defense AR in the picture. And if they are doing it on purpose, they’re really stupid since from the debate to this attempt has backfired spectacularly.

I came from an area on par with Appalachia as far as poor white people like Vance, did the Army thing after college.
Maybe I should have joined the Marines to get my obligatory Silicon Valley Venture Capital Financier job with optional political career, or did the Harvard grad school route when I had the chance.
