Really timely advice, for me at least. He has three steps:
- Create boundaries for your peace. Don’t let those in that would disturb it, if they get in, put them out. Simple. Stay away from poisonous people.
- Don’t wring the dogs ears. His line, analogous to “let sleeping dogs lie”. Don’t go make trouble for yourself. This one resonated with me, and pretty much determined how my weekend holiday will play out.
- MYOB – Mind Your Own Business. Say it brother. Not your circus, not your monkeys. I loved the line : “If it ain’t your sammich, don’t eat it!”
This is more common sense than any sort of spectacular advice. It just happened to hit me when I needed to hear it.
