Big eclipse day yesterday.
So what?
I’m off this week, fixin’ to head south with the Girl, so I had a ton of errands to run today, most important of which was to get dog food for the pups for the week. Followed by updating Winston’s chip information and registering Aria’s.
The checker at Tom Thumb asked if I was going to watch it. I said, no. I’ll see it better online. By the time I was heading back home, people were already congregating in parking lots gawping at the sun. I got back, logged in, got bored with the banter in the coverage and went outside to eat my lunch.
I saw little of it starting. There was cloud cover at the house. That said, it got real dark, and cooled off. You could hear nobs cheering at their watching parties. The dogs came out, because I was out, sniffed around a bit and went back inside.
Whatever.
When the lights started coming back on, I could glance at it and see a bit through the cloud cover. Big deal. When I went inside, I discovered how little the pups cared:
Both snoozing.
I went back to straightening up and packing.
