I’ve been off all week. You’d think I had time to think big thoughts.
Wrong.
I did get a lot done. Mostly prepping this house to sell and fuck off outta here. I scouted some places, all of which look good. Upside is I can rent a place for about half of what I’m paying here, and a few had over 1/2 acre, and/or a shop or barn. Hell, I’m thinking real heavily about maybe moving out first. There’s a lot of benefit to that. I have to do the maths again.
I went to Home Depot to get some O rings for one of the pipes in the spa. Something is leaking. I’m thinking one or more of joints I disturbed. They had two packs, both of which had some shithead open them and pilfer some of the rings. FFS, stealing out of a three dollar pack? Damn place near me has gone ghetto as hell.
Speaking of ghetto, take a gander at this:
Big manhunt on the block Thursday night. They sealed off all the routes. I was laying in bed when I heard the first whoop whoop of a siren telling someone to pull over. Then, the siren and a chase. I’m going to guess some scholars bailed out of the car. I went to NextDoor to see if there was any Karen chatter about it. Only thing was a post where they bagged a dude. Richardson doesn’t screw around.
Too bad he didn’t climb my fence. I’d have sent Aria out to take care of business. She’d have made him bail, all the time letting the world know where he was. Man is this area going ghetto. I need to flee before I wind up giving someone an exit wound the size of a softball from my .44.
Saw a lot of Lindsey Graham this week. More than I want to see. Dude has a boner to start a war with Iran. These neocons are crazy. As usual there is no compelling interest to stick our noses in these squabbling country’s business. We really meddle. When I was teaching certification classes I’d have techs from all over the world attend and I’ve had great conversations with them. One of the most eye opening was a dude from Pakistan. The crap we pull on those people is nothing short of evil. And that was before we allocated millions for gender awareness over there.

My philosophy is simple; Is it such a huge deal that you would send your son or daughter to go fight your fight? Would you sacrifice a child so Ukraine can launder more dollars to politicians? In the big picture is Israel or Gaza worth your son’s life?

Seems like what they want is to pick a fight with Russia. Mike Tyson once said “Everyone has a plan until I punch them in the face”. Two carriers going over there, with landing craft. Yeah. This’ll end well.

Those are persimmons. A Japanese variety with the claim to fame that they aren’t bitter when not ripe. I’m about to be up to my ass in gooey fruit waterballoons. Winston has been snacking on them. Yeah. Guess what happens when dogs eat fruit. That said, they are interesting. Very sweet, kinda sorta like a plum. Those things were $2.50 a piece at Sprouts last year.
I give them away. I’m not into them and see them as a nuisance.

Badass Cutlass. It was my late brother-in-law’s and my sister’s. Frame up, hurst shifter. I still remember my other brother in law asking if I had seen it yet, it sounds tough.. That it did.
I get notions sometimes, in the heat of things, that are out of character for my train of thought at the time. Like that voice that says “Dude, there ain’t no 58 year old woman on this planet worth getting in trouble with the law” and “Dude, there ain’t no 58 year old woman on this planet worth an eternity in hell”. I attribute these to my guardian angel.
Had a text interaction with Herself yesterday. Went as well as you’d expect. At one point while staring at my mobile, I felt the appropriate response would be to reply with a picture of my ass.
I’mma guess that prolly isn’t an angel what did that.
