I can’t believe I didn’t write about this.
A week or two after Jethro died, I woke up because Aria was howling. I wrote about it then.
She still sleeps on the floor where his crate was.

Always pointing where the door was.
Man, I got to get her a new boyfren. I found this dude:

Way too early for this. But I don’t know.
Maybe, I go look. Whatever could go wrong?
I’m a firm believer that when your dog leaves you… he or she will find another and send that dog your way. You will know it when it happens. Fortunately, you’re in the position to be able to take appropriate action. Do what your heart tells you and God Bless.

Here’s what sucks. I had three. Herself said it was her or the ‘puppy’ so I re-homed him. And a few months later she left anyhow. 2 1/2 years of effort and training given away.

I know it sucks, I have 6 currently. Had my first GP die of old age almost 4 years ago and got an unexpected GP/Anatolian pup before I was expecting to, then had a “surprise” litter and kept the survivor runt. He is now 3 and the other will be 4 next month. Old GP/Karakachan is 11 and aging out. So we are thinking puppy again. Almost forgot the pain a pup causes….. I can not live without a pack of dogs and most of mine are well over #100.
The 2 other are 9 now so will age out in a couple of years, they are never with us long enough. For me keeping a rotating pack eases the pain and keeps the routine constant.
